Awesome Chicago duo Katya Siddall and Natalie Slater launched Greyslater, an online eco-boutique, to support local artisans, small businesses, and manufacturers of made in the USA products. This is just the beta launch for Greyslater, so they’re carrying just a select few products and Natalie was kind enough to contact me about the soft launch.

One of aspects crucial to living a greener life is purchasing our foods as locally and seasonally as possible. I have a feeling this is why I love the summer and fall seasons more than any others. I tend to live on fruits and vegetables during the summer months, and when it comes to fall my every other thought becomes apple-centric. I am also confident there is no smell more wonderful than that of baking apples. Except, perhaps, that of an apple baking in brown sugar and butter… But, more of that coming later… (stick with me!) After last month’s cold snap here in Atlanta, I have got to tell you that I am pretty tired of being cold, so turning the heat down feels a little bit counter-intuitive right about now. Luckily, with a little bit of help, you can make your house (and yourself!) a little warmer without running the heater quite so much. Make a Draft Dodger Nope, I’m not talking about what my dad may or may not have done in the 70′s.
