I was looking back through vacation photos from my husband’s and my 2008 trip to London and ran across the picture above. Congestion charging started in London back in 2003, and they extended the covered area in 2007. Basically, cars that want to drive in certain high-traffic areas have to pay a toll or face a fine

I used to sleep on a pallet bed when I found myself a young single mom living in London on a small income and in need of a bed. For a few pounds and some help from a friend with a van, I got 12 old pallets home for a double-sized bed for me and six for my son’s single bed.

If I was in London this weekend, COPArt is where I’d like to be. COPArt Live! Bank Holiday Monday (3 May, 10.30am) Londoners interested in the environment and looking for some bank holiday fun are invited to attend a free event that will mix art and music at the Village Underground in Shoreditch on Monday 3rd May from 10:30am to 9:00pm.
